The 3rd Europe Chapter Regional Conference ICC Young Arbitrators Forum

On 15-16 July 2016, Mr. Kusnadi was attended the 3^rd Europe Chapter Regional Conference of The Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Athens Greece. Regarding the ICC site, ICC YAF is a forum to learn from experienced practitioners about career development and issues of interest in arbitration.

The Conference was included a masterclass of international arbitration such as a dynamic panel on techniques of decision making, a participative workshop on top 10 tips on effective advocacy in International arbitration, a roundtable provocative discussion on deciphering a lawyer’s ADR mindset and an interactive debate on the future of international arbitration.

One of the interesting issues in the conference was about an interactive debate, where the speaker in team 1 is tried to depend their perspectives that the future of International arbitration is as clear as the Paris and London skies. It means dark condition without future. Whereas the team 2 is tried to depend their views that the future of International arbitration will be as clear as Greece wheatear. It means international arbitration will be increased to use by enterprises in the future.

The speakers and moderators were senior lawyers, senior arbitrators, and professors at Law such as Castaldi Partners (Paris & Milan), Musat & Asociatii (Bucharest), ICC International Court of Arbitration (Paris), Linklaters LLP (Paris), Gabriel Arbitration (Zurich), Center for Commercial Arbitration of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Lisbon), Lidings (Moscow), EPAP Ukraine (Kiev), Esdana Law School (Barcelona/Madrid), Lewiatan Mediation Centre (Poland), Mayer Brown (London), etc.
