Study Tour to WTO, ILO and South Centre Organization in Geneva Switzerland

On 7th – 8th March 2016, Mr. Kusnadi had visited the head quarter of World Trade Organization (WTO) and International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva Switzerland. He went there with other students of International Trade Law Program Turin University. There were much useful information regarding WTO as an International Institution and how to settle the International Business through WTO Dispute Settlement Body. Some expert’s speaker from WTO explained the Bananas Case which settled after 11 years and the result of Ministerial Conference 2015 in Nairobi, it called as Nairobi Packet. 

After visited WTO Office in World Trade Organization 154, rue de Lausanne CH-1211 Geneva 21 Switzerland, the student group continued to visit ILO Office in 4 route des Morillons CH-1211 Geneve 22 Switzerland. They looked around ILO building and Photos Exhibition while accompanied by a public relation of ILO as “tour guide”. Mr. Kusnadi had wondered and be proud when He saw a big sculpture carving (Jepara) from Manpower Ministry of Indonesia and silver Borobudur temples from President Abdurahman Wahid beside the ILO main meeting room in the 2nd floors. After 3 hours in ILO office, Mr. Kusnadi and the group visited the South Centre Office in Chemin du Champ d’Anier 17, 1211 Geneva 19 Switzerland. The South Centre was established as a permanent intergovernmental organization of developing countries in August 1995.
